Swarnia

Although unintentional, Swarnia is inspired by the multitude of Bodoni, Didone, and similar high-contrast serif typefaces popular in the hand-set and hot type era of the eighteenth and early-nineteenth centuries. We chose not to name the this modern version as a Bodoni rather to allude to the French descriptor that gave rise to the design. Soigné in French means neat, tidy or well groomed. Swarnia is spaced for larger sizes and is perfect for logos and display-size headings. Swarnia’s personality implies value, quality, panache and flamboyance.
