Corsiva Italica

Corsiva Italica is a font family published by Three Islands Press.

Corsiva Italica simulates a classic cancellaresca corsiva as written in the 16th century. That is, it’s semi-connected: letters connect where there are joining swashes, but bowls and initial ascenders don’t have them. (A real model might be by Giambattista Palatino.) Corsiva Italica was originally intended as the italic for a Renaissance-style roman, but the designer opted for a more subdued companion and restored the deleted script features you see here.
