Nocturne Sans

Nocturne PRO is a typeface family consisting of the Serif (2016) and Sans (2025) variants. Regular style was created as part of the Warszawskie kroje project. The starting point was inspired by the plaques commemorating Warsaw’s World War II battle and martyrdom sites, designed in 1949 by Karol Tchorek in Warsaw. Nocturne PRO is a visual story about Warsaw, where influences from different cultures and aesthetics meet to create a coherent ecosystem. Despite its Renaissance proportions and expressive italics, Nocturne PRO has very sharp and geometric details. Due to its great popularity, the family was expanded in 2025 with a brand new Sans style. Under the direction of Mateusz Machalski, they also took part in the project: Karol Mularczyk, Malgorzata Bartosik and Borys Kosmynka. The entire family will work well in both longer text composition and brranding applications.
