Teleprinter Message

Designed by Jeff Levine, Teleprinter Message is a typewriter font family. This typeface has two styles and was published by Jeff Levine Fonts.

The Oct. 1, 1935 issue of The Film Daily carried an ad for the film “Keeper of the Bees” featuring a reproduction of a laudatory telegram.  The text of that telegram served as the basis for Teleprinter Message JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

A teleprinter is a keyboard device that can send messages to a similar device and print out the mesage in plain text, such as the teletype machines found in newsrooms of the past.
