MYSTERY NOVEL JNL

Designed by Jeff Levine, Mystery Novel JNL is a display sans font family. This typeface has two styles and was published by Jeff Levine Fonts.

An ad in the Sept. 26, 1936 issue of Motion Picture Herald for a film entitled “The President’s Mystery” was unique for two reasons.

First, the story was actually based on an outline created by then-President Franklin D. Roosevelt.  Second, the hand lettered title was an extra bold sans serif style with strong Art Deco influence.

This lettering is now available as Mystery Novel JNL, in both regular and oblique versions.
