CMX

Designed by Francisco Arellano, CMX is a sans serif font family. This typeface has twenty styles and was published by Ixipcalli.

The CMX typeface was developed as a tribute to a unique -type- style that demarcates Mexican cities, especially attributed to Mexico City. Its name means “Mexican City (CMX)” which encompasses not only Mexico City, but all the cities, towns and districts of the country. This typeface has a gothic sans serif style, clean and easy to visualize. Its characters offer two types of use, formal and informal. It consists of twenty styles divided into normal and alternate (informal). Each one contains five weights, Thin, Light, Normal, Bold and Extra Bold; adding for each style its italic form. This typeface is perfectly suited for any graphic design use, suggesting signage, corporate and editorial where large text needs to be emphasized.
