Solidus

Inspired by the heuristic typography of the Concrete Poetry movement, Solidus is a hardworking and unobtrusive sans in the Neo-grotesque style. Its simplified features, generous spacing and squarish curves imbue a sense of sobriety and allow the textual information to take centre stage, whether in body copy or at display sizes. These neutral attributes also provide a solid base for further experimentation with contrast and style, allowing the family to develop and become more expressive as part of future updates.

Solidus is available in a robust range of weights from a wafer-thin Hairline to a hefty Black, each with accompanying italics. As is typical of the Neo-grotesque style the italics are oblique (slanted) in construction and have the same advance width as the uprights. Each font supports 96 Latin-based languages and comes equipped with a range of useful OpenType features. Solidus is suitable for a wide range of applications and ships in both static and variable formats.
