Today in Underlined, we’re talking about two very specific points: apps
and Cyrillic. While they might not seem related, what they have in
common is Centrale Sans Pro’s stellar support for both.

A few years ago, Centrale Sans was released and we couldn’t stop talking about
it. Its sense of style combined with clean lines and attractive price point
turned our heads and as a result it’s been a solid seller since. Now, after
added updates, fixes, features, and language support, Centrale Sans is back and
better than ever.

|
First, let’s talk about the changes. Centrale Sans Pro has refined many
characters from the original but also includes added OpenType features like
small caps. Add to this tabular figures, fractions, stylistic alternates (and
more!) and you have a much more versatile font.

|
Additionally, the new Pro version has added full Cyrillic support, making this
one of the best full-featured fonts that support eastern European languages. If
you don’t need those characters or features, you can still buy the original
Centrale Sans version, but for large companies with an international audience,
that extra language support is vital.

Centrale Sans Pro can be used in a variety of media, especially with its
companion families, Centrale
Sans Condensed Pro and Centrale
Sans Inline. Mix and match all three and you’ve got magazines, handouts,
posters, text, logos and more all covered. Centrale Sans Pro is particularly
suited for web and apps, thanks to its large x-height which provides great
legibility at small sizes.

For under $80 this month, it’s hard to turn down the new and improved Centrale
Sans Pro family. Typedepot has another winner, and we very much look forward to
seeing what they come out with next!
