Welcome to Fonts from the Vault, where we spotlight fonts that we feel deserve more attention. If you’re looking to set yourself apart in design by having high quality fonts that aren’t over-used, this is the place for you. Like our Fontface newsletter, this is brand new. If you have suggestions, reply to this email and I’ll read them all. Enjoy!

Superb by Resistenza.es
It’s surprising that with so many brush scripts available, we still see a few rise to the top and get used everywhere while so many other good ones go relatively unnoticed. Superb is unique looking, has some great swashes, and even comes with negative characters to add effects. With all it has going for it, we think Superb really lives up to its name.

Azo Sans by Rui Abreu
Telling a high quality sans apart from a sans that’s just ok is incredibly difficult. There are so many intangibles that you can’t really appreciate until the font is on your comp and on its way out the door. Which is way too late. That’s why seeing seasoned designers looking at a font and saying “Yes, this is the one. This has it.” is all the more helpful. Well, allow us to say that Azo Sans has it. The curves are beautiful, the proportions are just right, and Rui Abreu’s reputation is stellar. In fact, we used his Gesta Sans on our site for years. Azo Sans is worth every penny.

Bombshell Pro by Emily Lime Design
You’re probably thinking right now “Bombshell? That font is everywhere! I thought this was for fonts that slipped through the cracks?” Well, we have a very good reason for including Bombshell on this list. Until recently, we were only able to sell desktop licenses of Bombshell, but now we can sell any license! So if you’ve been missing the original from your greeting card design website or your app, now you can fix that.
